How To Detect Gluten Intolerance

Prison Break, Lost and Dreamwidth. In Inglese!

Just a quick note – SPOILERS this way

Prison Break finale. Uhm. Still need to digest it, but overall I would say it was quite disappointing. Not because of Michael’s death, which of course sucks A LOT but is somehow okay – after all we don’t see him die, and Sara looked way too cheerful. (Besides, escaping from the coffin would be the ultimate challenge for Michael. XD) The thing is, I found it too rhetorical and to some extent very sloppy (ie, the General, Sofia), something that may be in line with the last two seasons, but still. I really liked Mahone and Lang though.

Lost S5 finale. Sorry guys, but this was the worst season so far (yes, S3 was actually better). I think they’re pushing their luck a bit too far here, dicking around with random ancient mythologies and cheap new age stuff. I’ve always loved Lost not for the crazy theories it spawns but for the complex storytelling, unpredictable interactions and thoughtful character development, all of which have been blatantly dismissed in this season. In turn, we had a deus-ex-machina trick (literally!) and cheap Egyptian symbolism... You gotta be kidding me! I have the feeling that Lost is fully embracing the realm of pure speculation and over-interpretation, and I’m not happy with that. NOT HAPPY. D:

Dreamwidth. I’m considering the idea of moving there. Looks like a nice place. I’ll keep you posted.

What's The Best Mattress For Scoliosis

[Lost]

Title: Butterfly caught
Fandom: Lost
Characters: Juliet Burke; Jack Shephard
Rating: G
Beta: [info] tokenblkgirl  <3
Prompt: 043. – Dreams @ [info] 100_women
Warning: SPOILER S4 (well, just in case)
Disclaimer: Lost (c) ABC et alia.
Note: Sometime between Something Nice Back Home (04x10) and Through the Looking Glass (03x22). The title is a song by Massive Attack, which suits both characters. You can read the original version (in Italian)  here .

“Thanks for saving his life,” Kate whispers before leaving the tent.

She looks sincerely grateful; she seems defeated, also, but Juliet is too tired to clarify the irony of the situation. Because she’s not the winner, she’s just dictating the terms of her own surrender.

So she smirks and goes back to stitch up the wound. She’s not a surgeon, and the conditions in which she’s working are far from perfection, but she’s doing all she can in order to avoid marks.

Her fingers graze Jack’s skin and his muscles twitch.

Juliet smiles, funny how such a tiny detail can make such a big difference.

She should remain silent, but opts for speaking. (Besides, he shouldn't have kissed her, but he did it anyway.)

“I know you’re awake.”

He doesn’t answer, but she feels his heart skipping a beat. She knows she’s left a mark.

Three years after, Jack sees himself in the mirror and notices the scar for the first time.

Three hours later, he’s on the first flight to Sydney. The first of a long series.

There is no turbulence. He closes his eyes and tries to sleep.

I know you’re awake, Jack.

Memory Access Violation Contact Tally

Butterfly caught [Prison Break] Jilted

Title: Jilted
Fandom: Prison Break
Character: Sara Tancredi
Prompt:  014. Hope @ [info] 100_women
Rating: G
Words: 192 (W)
Disclaimer: Prison Break is not mine.
Note: yet another musing on Sara's feelings during ep. 01x19, ‘The Key’. Fist attempt at PB ~ Feedback much appreciated . Many, many thanks to [info] happywriter06   for the beta-reading.

She can’t really say it was unexpected. And honestly, she was pretty much hoping for it, but she’s still taken by surprise. His hands, his lips, his tongue.

She closes her eyes and fades into him. It’s a strange feeling, sharp and pleasant, but not completely satisfying. There’s something missing, details that don’t quite match the picture.

So when everything finishes she listens to his words and tries to ignore that strange feeling, grinding like when sometimes she still wants morphine. Years of therapy have taught her how to dissect it, name it, and finally control it.

And because she wants to trust him, she strokes his face and starts naming it, silently.

Happiness, of course, then desire, frustration, misery, regret.

Hope.

Is there a way to control all these feelings? Because if there is one, they forgot to tell her.

So she walks away. It doesn’t take much before she realizes it had been the right move.

Actually, it takes her about two hours and a lunch break. She’s not really surprised. She’s not even angry or pleased for that matter.

Hope is nothing but a four letter word after all.
